Okay, again i was thinking — I’m already streached thin. I don’t need another calendar or reminder system — that’s why I have the suped up phone I have. BUT…. I LOVED the links about the top productivity apps! YEAH! This is SO MUCH more than I thought 🙂
1. Google Docs – the first time I used it, honestly hated it. However, now I really like it and its wonderful for us to post a document, do a conference call and see changes live to the document. Literally, not only does it save drive and meeting time, but hours of retyping and re-reviewing later! GO Google Docs!
2. Tiny URL – I’m seeing this more and more in the last few months. I think it’s really cool. I haven’t gotten the chance to actually be the sendor/ creator of one, but as the user of it, I really do love it. It makes signing into those webinars soooo much easier — no crapy breaks in the link! Sooo much less frustrating. (Honestly, I didn’t even think of this as a productivity tool, but yeah – guess it is!)
3. Firebug – great for webdevelopment – you can easily see and copy code from websites! I don’t know how I lived without it.
4. Mozilla – just like gmail & google, they have a whole host of FREE productivity tools! Check them out! I absolutely love their stuff 🙂
Oh!! I LOVE tinyurl!! For years I was like what IS that! But when I started doing virtual reference work, sending l o n g links to people via email proved iffy. That’s where the mighty tiny came in handy! Great site… VERY useful!
